How Long Was Jesus Dead? Q: Good Friday we remember when Jesus was brutally put on the cross for His crucifixion. Sunday morning, He had risen and was no longer in the tomb. Mathew 12:40 state Jesus said He would be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights. If Jesus died on 3pm on Friday as most people believe, rose on Sunday morning, that would not be 3 days and three nights. It might be nice for you one day to do a podcast on what really happened on what day.
