Advance the teaching deck from a Stream Deck — BibleSlides Present
Use the BibleSlides Present Stream Deck plugin to step verses, open on-the-fly tools, and run timers while notes stay on the tablet — a hardware remote for the sermon, not for lyrics.
A simple clicker moves you forward. Sunday often asks for more: step a verse reveal, open a map mid-sentence, glance a countdown, keep speaker notes on the tablet, and leave worship software alone on the house machine. BibleSlides Present is the Elgato Stream Deck plugin for that stack — labeled keys that control the teaching deck, not the lyric cue list.
Worship software can own the songs. BibleSlides owns Scripture on screen. Stream Deck is the remote for the sermon you already prepared.

This is complementary, not a replacement. If AV already runs the house screen from a booth URL or ProPresenter Web fill, you can still keep Stream Deck on the platform for your teaching controls while the booth owns the cable.
A common Sunday stack: ProPresenter for worship, BibleSlides for the teaching deck, Stream Deck as the hardware remote. Cloud pair also covers Stream Deck at the booth and the tablet on the platform.
What to look for in Stream Deck
In Stream Deck software, the category is BibleSlides Present (plugin id app.bibleslides.present, version 0.1.0). Bundled profiles cover Mini, Neo, MK.2, Plus (+ dials), XL, Plus XL, Pedal, Mobile, and Galleon. Stream Deck offers the matching BibleSlides layout for your device; you can also drag actions onto keys yourself.
Availability: the plugin has been submitted free via the Elgato Maker Console. Review is still pending. When Marketplace lists it, install from there. Until then, treat this as a soft launch — install via Stream Deck developer link from the streamdeck folder in the BibleSlides repo. Do not expect a public Marketplace download button until Elgato finishes review.
Two ways to connect
Same computer (low latency). When Stream Deck and the browser share the same Mac, the plugin hosts a local WebSocket at ws://127.0.0.1:19847. Open Practice or Present + tablet on that machine, then press Next.
Anywhere (Cloud Link). When Stream Deck and the tablet/projector are on different machines or networks:
- On a signed-in browser, open bibleslides.app/streamdeck
- Generate a 6-digit code (once per account — not per sermon)
- In Stream Deck, add the Cloud Link action, paste the code in the property inspector, Save, then press the key
- Open Present on the projector and the live tablet for that deck
That cloud pair is the path when Stream Deck sits at the booth and the tablet is on the platform.
If a key shows Offline, the browser is not connected. If a live tool shows No tablet, only the projector window is up — open the tablet or Practice view for FABs, timers, and security.
Keys that earn their place mid-sermon

There is no separate blackout key in this plugin — blank the room with your AV stack or house black if you need that beat. Stream Deck here is for teaching control: next step, live tools, timers.
Clicker vs Stream Deck
A one-button clicker is enough when the outline never leaves the deck. Stream Deck earns its place when:
- Verse slides have multiple steps and you want a dedicated Next under your thumb
- Q&A pulls you into On the fly and you want Bible / Maps / Board on labeled keys
- You watch a countdown on a key without looking away from the room
- Notes stay on the tablet while advance lives on hardware
- Stream Deck is at the booth and the tablet is on the platform (cloud pair)
Rehearse the profile in Practice before Sunday so the layout is muscle memory, not a puzzle during the welcome song.
How to try it this week
- Install Stream Deck software 7.1+ and connect a device (or Stream Deck Mobile).
- Install / link BibleSlides Present (when Marketplace lists it; otherwise developer link from the repo
streamdeckfolder:npm install,npm run build,npm run link). - Accept the offered BibleSlides profile for your device, or place Next / Prev and the live tools you use.
- Open Practice or Present + tablet — same Mac for local, or pair via Cloud Link if Stream Deck is elsewhere.
- Press Next. Confirm Offline / No tablet states clear before the service.
Keep the Word on the projector. Let worship software keep worship. Let Stream Deck be a quiet remote for the sermon.
